'If you can dream it, you can do it'- This quote has been the inspiration for the development of the Collins Drama Club. In the fall of 2016, a group of dedicated teachers decided to research ways to engage students and expose them to a variety of the arts. The idea of a theatrical program soon became a reality. With generous support from the community, the Collins Drama Club was established.

The first performance in August 2017 involved a group of 5th and 6th-grade students performing the Broadway classic, The Lion King. The cast had multiple performances for the public in addition to providing special school days performances for area schools.

The Collins Drama club has expanded to include 7th SJHS students in addition to 5/6th grade Collins students. Our cast size has tripled with talented students from our school system. In addition, we were able to meet the demand for an additional public performance in 2018 by offering a performance matinee geared towards kids.

In the Spring of 2020 the Collins Drama Club will perform Wizard of Oz! We are very excited to begin work on our next production and we hope you can continue to be a part of the program. Please visit the Patrons link to learn how you can help!
